Attention: Small Business Owners

Running a business can be exciting and rewarding, but it can also be terrifying, lonely and confusing. How do you know what you don’t know? How do you admit that you don’t know it, while trying to seem like an expert?

The SpitFire Circle for Small Business Owners is a monthly in-person meetup that creates a space for established independent entrepreneurs to connect, share and up-level their business.

Founded in February of 2018 by professional certified coach, Lauren LeMunyan, The SpitFire Circle was created to give permission to business owners to put their blocks and baggage on the table and sort out what’s work and what’s not. “Every meeting has a different topic, but the intention and vibe is the same - support, create, innovate, and activate.”

Meeting topics include process mapping, branding, social media, stress management, goal-setting, and mindset. Come with a question, leave with options.

Who should attend?

Established original small business owners who are looking for a community to brainstorm, troubleshoot and share. Our current members include makers, creators, designers and service providers. Please contact us if you have questions about this.

What if I have an idea for a business, but I'm not established?

We all have to start somewhere. Going forward we hope to host events to support you in your launching efforts. In the meantime we can point you in the direction of groups doing amazing work in this space.

Is this a women-only group?

While the majority of our participants are women, we leave the door open for all who are supportive of growth and openness. We create a vulnerable and respectful space and ask that all who wish to join and attend share that same objective.

The SpitFire Small Business Group Coaching Circle
I have been attending the Spitfire Circle for a year. Each Circle invites me to name a challenge I think I’m having, or a goal I have in mind, then provides me the structure and support to outline how to address that challenge, or build concrete steps towards that goal. And sometimes I’m completely off track, and the Circle calls me on it, pointing the way back to better ways to build my business.

Since June of last year, the Circle has taught me how to activate my social media presence, prioritize what energizes me as a maker and small business person so I continue to love what I do, and continuously helps me keep a laser focus on my next steps from month to month. I feel and can celebrate my momentum because of Lauren and this group.

I attended the very first circle. I return every month that I’m able to, and still leave every time, completely fired up and ready to tackle my current business issues with new ideas and reignited passion.

Owning my own business, which can for sure be lonely and frustrating, is much more fun with such a strong and welcoming group to give advice and help patch holes in my foundation.
