About The Founder, Lauren LeMunyan MCC
In 2015, I hit a wall—well, the floor, really. After 11 years in association management, I was drained. I was told I’d never make six figures working remotely. I was told I couldn’t say “no” to clients, even if their demands went against the mission or bylaws. Every so-called “opportunity” was just more work, more stress, and less sleep. Another plane ride, another conference, another board meeting—each one leaving me with the same gnawing question: "Is this all there is?"
To silence the exhaustion and emptiness, I turned to wine, reality TV, and over-exercising—ironically, things that got me applause on social media at the time. Then came the moment that changed everything. During a work event, after a day of cocktails and sun, I blacked out in a hotel bathroom. When I came to, I was in a golf cart, being ushered back to my room through the service exit. That could have been my rock bottom. I could have kept numbing myself and spiraling further.
But instead, I did something different. I asked for help.
I called the coach my dad had been pushing me to talk to for over a year. And in just one conversation, it was like the weight of decades of overwork, people-pleasing, and compliance lifted. A path opened up. My coach saw something in me—and suggested I become a coach. It made sense. I had already opened a CrossFit gym while working full-time and had fallen in love with helping people push past mental barriers to see their own power. It was never just about lifting weights—it was about the mindset to believe you could.
That was my Spitfire moment. Passion + Purpose + Mindset clicked together, and I felt it in my bones. Since that day, I’ve been on a mission to wake up that same fire in leaders, teams, and organizations. Whether in a workshop, a training, or a one-on-one session, my energy activates the inner Spitfire in anyone ready to step up and own their power.
